Chris started his career in commodities in 1994. Most of his professional time he has been involved with the financial trading of metal when doing the hedging and proprietary trading of all base metals for a global producer. He sidestepped into the energy markets for about five years as desk manager of Coal, Gas, Power and Emissions. After integrating Metals and Energy trading, he moved in sales as General Manager of the Aluminium Marketing team of a global producer. Chris enjoys exploring the world and various cultures. He likes to add a bit of humor to his work, but can’t stop himself in his drive towards perfection, dedication and a need to differentiate.

René Boulan
Marketing Management & Trade Finance
In the metals business since 1989, René started his career in market research, analyzing the ins and out of the aluminium industry. He then moved to marketing and trading, conducting business in diverse geographies (Europe, Asia, the America’s, Africa) and handling both metals and bulk commodities. From hands on Sales Rep to General Manager, René has developed an in depth understanding of the metals industry. His partly French origin clarifies his equally deep appreciation of wines. Being a marketer at heart, René thrives on understanding customer requirements and working together to develop long lasting mutually beneficial relationships.

Marleen Veth
Commercial & Projects
Marleen started her career in logistics with a Rotterdam based warehousing and distribution company, after which she moved into the commodity business. Initially managing the logistical flow for concentrates out of Australia, she moved into the Aluminium business, first in the distribution of primary Aluminium, thereafter managing the stockpiles and shipments of Alumina and Raw Materials. Over the years she has played an active role in various optimization projects and is challenged by putting her teeth into complex matters and bringing structure. A skill she developed to perfection by managing her young family and finding enough time for work, friends and field hockey. Marleen enjoys building relationships and delivering first class service to customers and stakeholders.

Ronald Kok
Logistics & Back office
Ronald has been active in Base Metal logistics for more than 25 years. While spending most of his career in the office, he gets truly alive when walking through harbors, warehouses and stock yards. Safety is high on his priority list and he is eager to share this experience with others to ensure a safe environment for all people involved. Also privately Ronald likes marine transport as he is fond sailor of the Dutch waters in his free time. Being weathered in logistics, proactive customer service is his main focus which includes open communication and regular contact with all parties involved.
